I am co-owner with my artist husband Pascal Giacomini of Galerie Lakaye, a gallery of contemporary ethnic art with a special focus on artists from Haiti. Galerie Lakaye is a private home gallery operating out of an early 1900s Craftsman house in Hollywood, California. The gallery opened its doors in 1990. It has been featured in Vanity Fair magazine, Los Angeles Times, and more. We show art by appointment only.

Our company, Lakaye Studio, introduced henna tattoos to the west coast in 1997, when we opened the first henna tattoo studio in the United States. Working with a family of Moroccan farmers, whose henna harvest we purchased every year, our all-natural Earth Henna temporary tattoo kits soon followed. Unfortunately, the Moroccan farmers lost their farm due to devastating droughts. We now buy our henna from India.
Nearly 20 years later, henna tattoos are more popular than they ever were, and our kits are considered the best available on the market! They have been or are currently available at Urban Outfitters, American Eagle Outfitters, Tilly’s, Free People, many Whole Foods stores, and hundreds of art supply and craft and hobby shops around the country, as well as through our website, Etsy, Amazon.com and more.
Included in our line of products is the Earth Jagua temporary tattoo kit—all-natural, black temporary tattoos from the Amazon that look like the real thing, only they fade away after two weeks! We work directly with the Matsés people in the Peruvian Amazon. They harvest the fruit and ship us the juice that we use to make our product. No trees are cut down; fruit that would fall to the ground and rot is now a cash crop for the Matsés. We follow fair trade practices, and also provide funds to the group for malaria assistance each year.
Come on, you know you want a tattoo. To find out more, visit our popular website at www.earthhenna.com!

The Modern Man
When someone says, “He’s a real man,” the image that comes to mind is positive and has little to do with physical strength.”

Empowering the Relations
“I often use romantic/domestic relationship scenarios to illustrate steps you can take to create a better rapport with your women partners at home and hence, on the world stage.”

Personal Growth
Maybe the better question to ask isn’t “What do I want to be?” but ‘How can I contribute to the world?’”
